10) Celeste is too clean. The movement is everything I want from a platformer. Three buttons, a stick and unlimited possibilities. No slippage. You're in control of everything you do down to the pixel. Honestly could play this forever if I keep finding good mods.

Rick was back & more infuriating than ever! Better graphics & sound, improved level design, and more addictive/annoying trial and error gameplay. Haters still hated it & masochists still loved it. Another cracking platformer.

Jumping Flash turbonerds (all three of us) should look into Geograph Seal, the last game Exact made for the X68000. It's like finding the alternate take demo version of a big single you've heard for years. Geograph is more of a shooter, though, whereas Sony wanted a platformer.

But, to REALLY answer the question: this gem of a platformer. Since Gamefreak developed this for SEGA back in the day (and we All know where Gamefreak works at now) it would be a really hard to accomplish reality. As Secondary, believable remake/remaster though, I say Ristar.

I always think of Wario as primarily a N64-era and later character on consoles (not handhelds obviously) because very few of his SNES appearances left Japan. It's a shame he wasn't in a proper SNES platformer. He looks good in colored pixels!
