It sounds cheesy but I have to say that the picture book community are just lovely. I've met so many warm and supportive people recently - authors, bloggers, booksellers, publishers, librarians, educators and readers - and have felt really welcomed. Hugs to you all!💕🐽💕

First Press has a better eye for STG than a lot of limited-print publishers, too: aside from Rival Megagun, they picked up Natsuki Chronicles, Ginga Force and Neko Navy which are all quality

they're even doing Neko Navy plushes, neat https://t.co/IChRWsLHNg

One of the reasons I care so much about this is that my grandfather was a working artist from the early 1940s through the late 1960s.

He did work for publishers, ad agencies, and the US Navy during WWII.
