Over the coming days I thought I'd share some of my process drawings for the cover of Otters' Moon by . These 2 initial roughs felt too 'young' for the readership. I liked the otter though, so coloured him up just for fun. 4th image is the final cover. More soon!

The Flash version of Bart Allen, like the Spider Bart was made dour but most fans thought he was just another Wally and so didn't take to him. Unlike Barry who at the time had readership drop, Wally was a well regarded book and character so it did not stick.

Pan Books didn't only try to horrify their adult readership with their Books of Horror, their book line for children under the Piccolo imprint published these beauties. Skeleton women and twisted, demonic versions of animals made for high octane nightmare fuel.

SHANNA THE SHE-DEVIL was unveiled by Marvel OTD in 1972, courtesy of co-creators Carol Seuling and George Tuska (Steve Gerber would add dialogue throughout the run but wasn't involved creatively.) Ran five issues, another attempt by Stan to appeal to a female readership.

I've gotten to a point again where this wedding fight is extending even further and my readership has dropped to terrible numbers, but I kind of don't care anymore. I'm not doing dull 4koma with one-note jokes forever so you're gonna COME WITH ME on this ride lol

I write LGBT spec fic. My stuff was a bit out there for my publisher's readership. People to gave me a shot when personally talking to them and them seeing how excited I was about my offbeat stories. You'd think a genderfluid cannibal hero in a ballgown would be an easy sale!

Thanks for reading Tiny Mix Tapes. After nearly two decades of publishing, we have decided this is the ideal time to take a much-needed hiatus.

TMT has always essentially been a passion project, made possible only through your readership. Big thank you for everything. <3

From the page to the street: I love seeing political cartoons used as an active form of protest.
