Tip: if you’re on ibispaint, i use digital brush (or you can go with any brush) and then i thicker the line for the outline and some part i erase the inner line
For the shade i use some kind of a fade brush idk

Another way to use ? How about zoom narratives. Handles zoom and image adjustments brilliantly. Here I’ve used ‘lift subject’ tool of characters and places on background image. Hot tip: lock each image when in position!
