@butch_mothman oh god i should've recorded this😩but here's some step by step. i did a rlly minimalist sketch first and wasn't planning on painting it but once i added flats i added some shading and ultimately merged the layers to render the rest. and then added the bg and halftones etc

@arb_Owen1 @RejYeah and I tag teamed for this one :) funnily enough, the concept was basically done last year, but we ultimately decided to put off the Dark Brawlidays idea. We tackled this theme again this year and @FrancyArtist made new sketches for it, including Sam’s and Ash’s :)
Toriyama did nothing wrong. It's funny how the "representation" crowd acts as though fiction must mirror real life but then praises character designs with little distinction between types of people that are ultimately less accurate to reality.

First, Weiss's shawl! We wanted to give Weiss some winter clothing that referenced Vernal and her influence on Weiss, & scarf designs were tested as well as shawls, but ultimately the shawl won out for coziness factor. @MonarchBluelady mostly did Weiss's design, so credit to her~
