It's not perfect, but here's some edits of SMM SMW Bowser.

I edited his arms (his shoulders were originally at eye-level) and I messed around with color. The orange palette is taken directly from Koopa Troopas and I think it fits really well.
Bottom row is more faithful to SNES

It’s interesting how similar Mario in the Paper Mario series looks to small Mario from Super Mario World. It makes sense because they were originally using SMW sprites in the early concepts of PM64.

I've always wondered, when Mario's final palette was being made for SMW, were his pinkish colors intentional? Or alternatively, maybe his colors were sampled from a picture of Mario that was slightly hue-shifted? Shifting Mario's hue to the left a little yields SMW's palette.

theres a very delicate middle ground between SMW yoshi and modern yoshi that often gets depicted in 2d art who i love SO MUCH, i wish we got this guy as a 3d model!!!

imo he's the best of both worlds, i like modern yoshi proportions but i prefer a more toned-down nose
