This is a devotional image of Xipe Totec, “The Flayed Lord,” also translated as “The Bearer of the Skin.” He is the Lord of Spring, a manifestation of corn, and the patron of gold and silversmiths. He is a manifestation of Tlaltauhqui Tezcatlipoca, The Red Tezcatlipoca
No one traveled the woods in the spring, when the oak wraiths emerged from hibernation.
Not because they were dangerous but because the still bare branches of the trees meant you could see them perched up there, watching you.

@utterneer It's spring loaded! I 3D-printed the spring, using a hardware store spring made the dice fly wayyy too hard to the point where they would bruise people...
Oops...3 days to go until the end of spring, not hinting at anything...🤪 just said 😂

Feels odd to be painting ice and snow in spring, but that's the state I felt like being in ever since the end of February, when the world ended. Frozen in time and space, when everything around feels surreal and off...❄️

Crabpool are Zokai which live on rocky beaches, camouflaged amongst the stones. The pool of salt water on their backs is home to marine life, including their own offspring, Pebkrill.
