Fantasy art doesn’t get any more fantastical than the beautiful “Bilbo Comes to the Huts of the Raft Elves,” by JRR Tolkien. I love seeing how he envisioned his world, and his art really captures the tone of his writing

My favorite settings are ones that take Tolkien’s tropes and give them twists. I need to have elves and dwarves, but love it if they are samurais or sophisticated cannibals or some such.

Fateforge is a great setting, involving all of the D&D classics, but making them their own
