@JiskeyJasket A personal example I like to use to help people feeling that way are these two guys: Storcane and Stalacknight, two fake Pokemon I designed 10 years apart. The 'halfway point' between them is a lot closer to the top's creation since initial improvement tends to be exponential.
Here they are so you can give them a look!
The reason behind choosing these is because I feel like it will be easier to notice an actual improvement with them and not be only smoother shade 🙈

I decided to shade that picture I did of Joey's face. I also lightly modified his expression so it was just a tad bit more emotive. I really like how this one turned out.

@Random_Blorper This is just completely flat out wrong and toxic. Back in 2018 (age 12), I didn't know ANYTHING about art. After realizing that I loved to create, I knew it was for me.
Progress takes time and improvement exists, it doesn't matter what age.
