I've really been getting into monochromatic drawing lately.
The final piece will be in color (and include the bubble, per request), of course. But these moments of experimenting and reassessing my "style" have been surprisingly fun.
So I'm trying something new. I am in the process of making custom Animal Crossing villagers through texture editing, and this is the first one I've made. His name is Wilton, a lazy cat. Feedback on lighting and rendering is appreciated, of course.
