I'm going to comment individually:

This RPG assets started as fun to test some kind of "low poly" mix with "flat icons" trying to do all them with diagonals, rectangles and keep the most easy as possible. At the end added more styles and sizes.

I is not possible to tile the above pattern with threefold symmetric tiles, if you do not want to cut a triangle in three parts.

The underlying grid is hexagonal. And the edge of those hexagons are in the center of triangles.

Since someone else was curious might as well share my current IP for this piece. I wasn't happy how I drew things originall and didnt just wanna complete what I had so I'm redoign a few things like the fur texture and trying to make the angles better with over painting techniques
