The general timeframe for this was about a month and a half, with several other variants being scrapped because they didn’t look right.

some final notes... atmospheric lighting will greatly affect not just the color palette you're using but the overall mood of the piece. i intentionally looked for less saturated and muted colors, and the cool blue tone is a reflection of the colors of the wall in the background.

Did some background. It all has a blue tint to emulate aerial perspective so that it won't stand out too much when there are more important things on the screen. I'm not satisfied with the colors currently so I'll continue to mess with them as I make more.
