Sketch vs Final Image for contest!

I went through an entire month of thumbnails, compositions etc for this image, just to come back to one of my first ideas right before the deadline.
That's how she goes sometimes.

The Process. Sketch VS Final.

My work strives at building a compositional relationship between various forms and structures. Thus making visible, what is part of the subconscious.

I find myself listening to the Katawa Shoujo soundtrack more often these days.
It covers such a wide range of emotions, easily has some of my absolute favorite musical compositions too!
Do yourself a favor and check it out if you're into classical~

Sketch for an embroidery. 🌱

(The composition can change between the drawing and the embroidery of course.)

"humanoid boss", and also made the generic one "water themed" instead because i wanna see what it does,

so,
water, fire,
electricity, wind

interesting how it changes the composition of the shape but also the environment

🍉 Summer picnic!

Paul Cézanne carefully arranged still life compositions in his studio, returning often to wine bottles and pitchers and apples, pears, and melons, all close at hand.

On the left, my current profile. Because it's one of my favorite artworks from last year and I really like the whole composition. On the right, the one before. One of my favorites from years ago!

Push through the ugly stage and trust the process.
Trust me when I say making this piece was one most challenging things, especially in the earlier stages. I didn't know what colors I wanted to use, struggled with the composition, etc. It took 2 years to finish this piece lol https://t.co/pedAr1m6mT

I'm working on my color matching and composition. I have a feeling after another 1,000 hours, I'll be somewhere near what I'm shooting for.

I can’t stop making compositions with just a huge amount of tree bark to texture.
The piece I’m working on right now like 99% tree bark 😔

When I drew last pic I also drew Fluttershy but she didn't fit the composition. I was not intending on coloring it but oh well... I did. And I think you don't mind it at all.
