1898 was the year in which Principal Miss Beale acquired a tricycle, now in the College Archive. She had initially opposed the newly-fashionable sport of bicycling, but, as always, was not ashamed to change her mind, and was soon cycling down Bayshill Rd every morning at 7am.

This we're sharing one of the oldest photos from our school archive. This picture was taken in 1921 at a fun sporting event called the 'asparagus race'. So-called, we assume, because the students are tied together around the waist like a bunch of asparagus!
