When you recreate an animal from only its skeleton, you don’t take into account any fats, muscle, or body parts not dependent on bone. As a result you get wildly different looking creatures.

Despite being seen as whimsical and friendly, Hippos are actually quite dangerous and aggressive in real life. When sketching Orca I wanted to include both these aspects to help shape her into something almost motherly with tough love, even for adults twice her size if need be
