In fact, many of the most well-written, thought-provoking shows (whether they be funny or heartbreaking) I've ever seen on TV were animated.

Stories have target demographics, yes, but it's silly to assume DC doesn't hope as many people as possible read this book. LGBTQ or S, young or not. There are also plenty of comics doing a better job of telling stories about LGBTQ youth. They deserve better.
