2021 sure was a year. It's been a physically & emotionally draining year for us all & I cannot emphasise enough just how much working on patterns has kept me grounded. It's been hard running a business in lockdown but the feeling of purpose it has given me has been invaluable

things i got really into this year include:

So from this part I knew I liked the face and the shy energy and I attempted to make a digital painting out of it. I kept with the shy attitude and face but bulked him up. To emphasis the merfolk idea I added scales and gave him a flowy skirt. The idea came from a beta fish!

'Reflections: China and Japan'~ Sir William Orpen, (1902)

This is a virtuoso still life painting which demonstrates Orpen's facility at depicting texture and reflective surfaces with flair and skill, and with less emphasis placed on a coherent compositional arrangement.

1. Harry Potter’s scar looks terrible and barely noticeable. They put so much emphasis on his scar and it’s the most piddly little thing. I think it should have been a more accurate lightning scar stretching across his face. Examples from various artists

Two of the more surprising artists I have learnt from;
Hans Holbein and John Singer Sargent !

Although I will likely never draw anything that closely resembles their art, these two Masters teach a VERY important lesson. The lesson of 'Emphasis'.

For starters their archetypes would probably be (top left to bottom right, w notes on what I need to explain)
Sauce: heavy emphasis on movement to keep combos going, moves with upward angles and good edgeguarding potential, slightly lighter than average, like brawler weight

So I've been working a bit on my home world in VRChat and... I've had a lot of fun with the small details. (emphasis on small!)

Had a lot of influence from and I won't lie... I kind of really want a pack or two of these in real life now.....

I really want to emphasise how far I've come with my art after rediscovering the most cursed drawing I think I ever made in my life.

Vincent Marshall Reid - 2018 vs 2021 (two weeks ago).

Acquiring an actual tablet has blessed me.

'll never stop thinking about this Poison I've design because it did everything I wanted, it made a costume for a character interesting to look at, incorporating unique details that emphasised their personality and abilities through quirks in the outfit instead of it being bland

"まどわせ~る"
(From「まどわせる」(madowaseru, to trick). The symbol ~ denotes a playful attitude and emphasis and is common place, particularly in entertainment media (e.g. manga, video games and anime).)

Discover a spectacular cache of photographs taken by Ilse Bing at the Glyndebourne Opera Festival in 1937. The little-known results emphasise her significance as a pioneering photographer of live theatrical performances.
