My grandmother gave me a book about faeries when i was very young, and the book was filled with pencil (and other traditional media) illustrations of old european folklore.
I remember thinking “I can do that too” and just started drawing, never stopped since then.

🍄🍏🍄If you find yourself in the land of Faerie, never accept any food or drink - no matter how tempting it may appear - or you will never leave. But if you offend them by refusing their generosity within the mortal world, you will be cursed.

Also have some more recent stuff I'm planning to put in the shop. Like these inking tests for some faerie tale stuff that really got me ready for what I wanted Beorn to look like.

Oak, Ash & Thorn are trees sacred to the Celts, especially when found growing together. The oak brings healing & protection along with prosperity & luck. The ash brings prophecy & healing, & the hawthorn symbolises fertility & is a tree sacred to faeries.

um, umm, uhhhh,,,

Wychwood is a pretty cool webcomic I think, it's a science-fiction/fantasy/post-apocalypse with bug/faerie aliens and strange mind-altering magic and lots of fire and friendship and friendly fire and similar shenanigans, read it here:

That night, she had two dreams. In one, a beautiful angelic faerie narrated to her a story of unimaginable depravity, & in the other, an demonic creature told a story of unfathomable kindness. She woke up startled, & with both the storytellers right by her bedside.

Her name is Cricket, she's a pixie and she's in a polyamorous relationship with 2 other women. I forgot to draw her mole in that first picture.

I still love these illustrations and texts for a dark themed perfume collection from where I got to turn scents into art and stories. 🖤
