Here's proof that I do have base meshes for these parts. The short sword is for stabbing into monsters, then he shreds when he pulls it out with the serrated side.
The big weapon is also built for shredding on one end, and it's shaped to notch right into the holster.

By this point I'd added separate meshes to build the skirt, eyelashes, etc.

The colors here are just materials with Base Color set. Assign them to the appropriate areas. Makes the model "feel" more complete but also visually separates areas of the model. Nice for UVing later.

Testing my new normals process for Spike's face shading. Very WIP. My new process involves baking the custom/edited normals to an object space map. This means no need for "controller" meshes, moving vertices doesn't break the shading, and you have extra control for fine-tuning.
