Oh lmao I forgot I drew law in my 2010 homecoming dress....
Initially he painted landscapes before, as his reputation grew, he turned to genre by 1808. His first works were shown at the 1804 RA exhibition. Suffolk Landscape (c1810), John Varley (1814) & Horses (1816). Varley was his brother-in-law.
I had the great pleasure of illustrating a portrait for my brother and sister-in-law for their wedding day! (Which was an amazing day)
Instead of having a guest book, they chose to have a canvas for guests to sign and they display in their living room for years to come.💖
I was so excited for this commission because A) it's was another polyamorous triad and B) it's my eldest brother's triad! I felt so honored to be able to create this illustration for my amazingly supportive brother-in-law as a gift to his partners.
