Most people react negatively to Obari's character designs from this period. I'm more into realism - but he went so over the edge on the extreme proportions of the characters that I love them, as monstrous as they are. I can't even imagine the difficulty in making them move.

I'm up late because my arm hurts so I tried using that "magic rune" that showed in that video on how to draw proportionate faces. Made a few modifications to get the face shape I wanted after, it works nicely. This guy looks like an italian uncle and grandpa.
