Finally got around to reading Alison, 's latest graphic novel last night. It's stunning. Deeply felt, complex and beautiful. The words pin the story to the page while the images add layers of meaning and mystery. Really quite something.

Hey Mooties,

I generally manipulate layers for skin (except oil or pastel).

Base colour + multiply = saturation for dark areas. White + overlay = highlights

Today I tested using colours like how make up is applied.. that contouring thing.

Hit or miss?
