There's going to be two to three lighting layers, all are set to "Overlay" mode. The first layer will be for the Skylight. This represents the color of the sky, if there is one. Paint it lightly on the upper edges of your character.

concept will hate it because everyone is some kind of pun (overlaying the Lovecraftian horror that is using the village of Two Evils as it’s diorama/puppet show), but I think will dig it.

Update: added color! Took a while of messing around with overlay filters until the colors started to look right on her ‘^^

Definitely gonna try and practice grayscale more in art I’m thinking of doing,,

It's immediately reminiscent, to those keen-eyed few, of the scene in Vagrant Story where Grissom is coming to terms with the fact that he's possessing his own corpse, and he hears a voice speaking to him. The overlayed text effect looks and is used in the exact same manner.
