It's possible to have dark skin in a pastel palette, you just have to accept that the skin WILL stand out and work with it rather than against it.

I used to go through hell trying to make feed lt pink& lose my skin tone, it was easier when I stopped trying to force it.

Started working on these again today i actually rebuild the topology on the pawpads to make it more auto weight freindly as well as just easier over all to work with. Also completely redid the rigging (paw pads no longer implode) Needa clean some minor issues but decent overall!

I used A LOT of mask layers since the whole painting was mostly on one layer. Somehow it was "clean" enough to use the selection tool to paint the background easier, so that saved a bit of time by not using the pen tool.😩
