Tom used to be the harder one to write. Artie is easy with his wildcard antics but Tom is more calculated, that's half the reason I started Tales was so I could practice with them. Eventually I did how to make Tom work, he still isn't a cake walk but a fun challenge.

This started out as an attempt to show relatively equivalent facial expressions between Vince and his (Fursona?? hjhfg) unnamed, nonphysical creature entity that represents his baggage. Its shapes and single hole for an eye make having it emote a fun challenge.

That they could actually be decapitated was quite a talking point at the time IIRC. 🤔 It made two-player games an interesting challenge. My brother would come in for the decapitation move, and I'd try to counter with a head-butt. Great when it worked. Very final if it didn't. 😋
