'Sonic Adventures' which was this incredibly charming two part French comic series with its own unique interpretation of Knuckles' tribe. ( oddly enough, it predates the Sonic Adventure game that would do the same thing in 1999. This comic released in 1994! )

Released in 1992, and 1993, respectively. Dead of the Brain 1 and 2 released on the PC-98 (with the first one also releasing on the X68k and some other platforms). Later, 1 & 2 would come out on the PC Engine in 1999. I believe there's an English patch fo the PC-98 one.
