I'm very thankful for myself for spending so long with base models of the clothing because sculpting is actually going pretty quickly now thanks to a good foundation! My PC is starting to be on its limits with over 8 million tris though...
So I ported the AWP from CS:S, fixed its model (as it only has half the faces on its viewmodel), and made it replace the stock Sniper Rifle.
Model stats:
- uses 3 materials (all ported from CS:S, but with TF2 material settings)
- 2120 verts, 2216 tris
Info:
- 669 verts, 482 tris (so no LOD)
- 64x64 texture (resized to reduce bugginess with sampling, though point sampling is still enabled)
- uses nocull to allow for double-sided flat faces
- working viewmodel bones
