Here are examples of art styles that inspire my own- top 2 are the Uekawa/Okana style (long ears, tail, etc.), the third is @/tyson_hesse (expressions) and the fourth is @/yardleyart (hands, posing). How could I have learned how I wanted to draw Sonic if not for studying these?

I will always stand by Uekawa's Sonic as the definitive Sonic design. When I think of Sonic the first thing that comes to mind is his art. He basically revolutionized the character (with the help of Satoshi Okano of course) and made him look sick as hell.
