I'm so stunned and sad to hear about Kazuki Takahashi. Yu-Gi-Oh was my gateway into anime and manga, so in a way, it's one of the reasons I'm a translator now. It influenced my art a lot too - here's a Ryou I drew in 2005 (probably on an oekaki board).

RIP Kazuki Takahashi. Yugioh was a gateway for me into comics as well as card games. The game is so communal and his manga has always demanded my respect, he drew like no one else and made his comics so relatable it was no wonder it became so huge.
