Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver debuted in the comics in 1964's X-Men #4. Until then they didn't have a last name and their only part of origin was that Magneto found them in the heart of Europe. Its origins only came to light later in the next issues of Avengers+.
Dr. Charles Xavier & Magneto were inspired by MLK & Malcolm X! “...emphasizing the conflict people who felt that we’ve got to all work and find a way to get along & people who feel not treated well. Therefore we’re going to strike back with force.” said Lee in an interview w/CNN.
I don’t watch Superman and Lois so wtf did they do to Mitch Anderson??!! Where’s the teenage fanboy Spider-man/Magneto hybrid I know and love?
First Peacemaker, now this. Can my fav D-listers get any love?

X-Men: The Trial of Magneto (2021) #3
Wanda’s body has returned from the dead, but not her spirit. Writer Leah Williams, Artists Lucas Werneck & David Messina, Colorist Edgar Delgado: There are many dangling threads to this story, that I hope will be woven together. 3/5
We are living in an incredible era with several multi-spacecraft
missions exploring the Earth's magnetic bubble, the magnetosphere, including ESA Cluster and NASA MMS missions
Closing the book on ‘98 and reaching ‘99…Magneto War, The Shattering, The Twelve. Events ranging from mediocre to dreadful for many X-fans (but all of which I absolutely love, of course 😂). And hey, it’s almost Y2K, meaning I’m running out of 90s X-comics…what to do then…?😏

Sinister is a valid argument. Magneto, well, is more like your brother-in-law now sksk
"Check." -Magneto. From Ultimate X-Men issue 61. Written by Brian K. Vaughan and Drawn by Stuart Immonen.
It’s a cool character dynamic with a ton of subtlety to it. The undercurrent of the scene is that Magneto wants to Magneto because he failed at Xavier-ing, and the reader gets to watch him convince himself that this is a rational move, even as Moira screams the truth at him. 8/10
In the stillness that follows, Magneto more reasonably accounts for his grim assessment of the circumstances surrounding the mutant situation – here again falling into choosing martyrdom over the harder path that Xavier had tried to set him upon. 7/10
Magneto’s defensive-yet-excessive response to Callisto again highlights the subtext of the scene: Magneto wants to go back to his old ways; he does not like failure, and he is indeed rationalizing his choices, just as Moira accused him of earlier. 6/10
The scene comes in hot with Magneto pounding his fist on a desk and spouting off like his old Silver Age self, “How dare you presume to judge me, woman?!” We pan out to see Magneto (in his original costume) staring down an unphased Moira. 2/10
