Adding to this again with a fun fact about my LP: While I normally take stills from a particular episode for thumbnails, for episode 7 of OMORI I took Space Boyfriend's battle sprite and overlayed it over the background from the old Space BF site/bug spray (never give up) album

I'm not particularly skilled in this area, but limited color pallets for me are very underrated, and paired with a proper photo reference helps immensely! I also sometimes like to use one overlay layer on top of the picture using a single color to help unify all the colors more.

trying American comic coloring style again, i haven't do this kind of things for ages. So simple, yet so many layers upon layer. Most of them are overlays and multiply, but i opted out multiplies because simply, i don't like them.
