We talk about good manga to anime adaptations all the time & I still think Ping Pong: The Animation has done one of the best jobs of adapting while implementing panel layouts to push the story forward. And not just once or twice, OFTEN. It didn't have to, but it did & it's great.

No night missions may have been because of the relatively slow Amiga CPUs. 🤔 But it really didn't feel optimised, making me think that they didn't have time for optimisation before it went out, and maybe no time to implement darkness. I didn't mind. Throwing flares is a pain. 😁

..oh yeah: The PS1 and Amiga versions used a different font too. Has a funky stylised look to it. 🤓
The Amiga version didn't have night-time missions implemented.. all missions were day-time, even though you can bring along flares. 😁 And the geoscape had an untextured globe.
