@nitrogen_hoodie that means a lot!
Well you use cliping layers on panel after converting brightness to opacity then filling it with color to make it brighter, then fillingbase color with little trial and error you will get it right!for now i just wanna learn more about coloring different settings
Something I worked on yesterday, the vampire side of Scarlet~ My first time messing with opacity for the eye shine and shading. I'm proud of this one. UwU
Previous art and newest art of Milla art style comparison.
Maybe looks same but the shading style and the lineart colors are changed, even though both are using the same color and shading color palette, except I increase the opacity a little bit.

b - custom made paint tool, made from oil paint type
c - 'finger tip' blend tool
My all time favourite brush to paint with is the transparent acrylic paint brush tool you get with Clip Studio, which is what I use!

I then lower that layers opacity to 15%. Being between the flats and the shading layers it adds some color to the shading underneath so the shading doesnt look colorless and makes it look less over exposed. U can see the difference when u turn the flats layer back on Overlay mode
@aaronpenne The stroke in those is already only 30% opacity... but here are a couple with even lower opacity and a couple with 100%. I think I will add these as options to the generator :)
The next thing I do is shade clothes with a round brush.
Then I reduce the opacity of lineart to 50%, set shading layer to multiply and merge. I turn my flats layer back on to see what this looks like before doing lights.
How to bubbles: do circle.. make highlight.. low opacity fade on opposite side(inside)... uhh... thank you for coming to my TED talk.
*bows politely*
this looks like the pepsi logo at full opacity ok going to lay in bed now
Ok here's a step by step and tips of how I did the edits
It's a bit messy so if you have any questions I can answer them!
So first I lower the opacity, decide which areas I'm gonna keep and which I have to draw over. The areas I wanna keep I copypaste on top to cover the edges-
For those curious, I basically rough in some colors (left) and the auto colorizer produced the image on the right.
I then bring back the original colors at a low opacity. When I have time I'll go back and do a paintover of the combined layers.
