Thanks. They are procedurally generated. The contoured hatching uses the object coordinates and the wave texture. The terminator line uses the normals and the difference between two color ramps.

When drawing city maps, the chosen style for buildings makes a HUGE difference to how long it takes! Each one is a separate process step for EVERY building: 1 outline, 3 colour fill, 4 detail ink, 5 colour pickout, 6 highlight, 7 shadow, 8 texture.

1st/4th are true/eyedroppable colors. fire mane can be any color including rainbow, but has flame like texture. tail can be doglike (docked), or grow into a lion tail (3rd image) with or without flame. ears are cropped like a pitbull.

Well after messing with some new markers, I may have messed up this character illustration. But at least I have the basic look for working reference. Note to self, never use water-color markers ever again. I'm sticking with the alcohol-based ones to avoid that weird texture.

Missile Silo objective for that I made over the past couple of nights. A single 256x128 texture. This stuff is so much fun to make and animate! The lid opens up and the missile moves up into position before the round begins.
