30 years ago today, in 1992, they Killed Superman - or, more accurately, Doomsday & Superman killed each other. I remember how each issue lessened the amount of panels on each page by 1 until, finally, in Superman each page was a giant action splash page!

Praise for the Translator - all of the original pop culture references and idioms are in tact, and explained in a glossary at the end of the book. I appreciate that amount of dedication for the series, since many Japanese phrases (etc.) cannot cleanly be altered to English words.
