Over the past year I've been on and off deconstructing how to get similar effects with ClipStudioPaint by mosaic'ing the art piece to a larger pixel size and using a repeating color pattern on multiply so only the colors that need show through will.

art thing i wish i tried sooner was "sketch in color" or "sketch with flats"

used to feel like i had to perfect my sketch before i do lines
perfect lines before adding base colors
perfect flats before shading, etc

i have a hard time figuring out forms/shapes with lines alone!
