I’m used to drawing skinny characters and I know she doesn’t look EXACTLY her weight but I drew her thicker than I usually draw characters. Example - Kade has a skinny waist, while Rose in my drawing doesn’t have such a skinny waist.

when doing short but thick fur, I typically approach it in a simplified form similar to triangular scales, and detail out from there. Using this sort of diamond shape I find personally allows me to shift them more organically along with utilizing soft or "lost" edges!
