Happy 18th to Jak 2. It's not my favorite in the series but it had It's moments. Loved a lot of the characters, the plot was a bit holy but the graphics improved greatly.

Since the N.sane vs CB4 artstyle topic has come up again, I really feel like the remakes could have looked looked a million times better if they actually aimed at recreating Zembillas art style in 3d, instead of just using the ps1 graphics and simply just making it more detailed.

And sure enough! All the broken graphics I noted before seem to be fixed!
This is, of course, not a perfect solution. I still need to track down another set of disks and do another dump so it is properly preserved. But in the meantime, it's both beautiful and playable!
The existing dump of the PC-98 version floating around online is bad. While the game plays fine, a number of background graphics are corrupted. Some have broken color palettes while others are far more broken.
