After many trials and tribulations, I finally have gotten the model retopologized, at around 20k tris! The only compromise I had to make was the frills are now going to be a texture instead of a modeled object. The textures should be next!

My pareidolia is quite extreme, but sometimes there are faces in stuff that look too perfect, too obvious.

Here is one in a texture from Quake. I isolated and rendered it a bit as well, just to drive home the point.

YEAH! Actually! I'm finishing up a kid's book called "Sell Me a Story", these few pages, I'm going to add some scales in the midtones of the dragon and create wood planks for this boat.

It's interesting but most textures exist in the mid-tones.
