Flora originally mentions giving Avan the Amulet of Carl when selecting Leona as the fifth disciple. The anime removed that mention in ep.60 and instead shows her giving him the amulet during the Avan flashback in ep.61. The Avan prequel manga also shows him wearing the amulet.
