Kelpies are shapeshifting water spirits who lure people into lakes & drown them. The Scottish folktale "The Kelpie & the Ten Children" is a cautionary tale of children lured onto a beautiful horse's back, only for the horse to jump into a lake.

Please go watch Wish Dragon on Netflix. It's such a sweet and fun variant on the Aladdin folktale set in modern China. Here are my OCs cuddling a very pink dragon

Happy !
I'm an illustrator for kids, from PB to MG. My work is also great for editorial. I love animals, juicy colors, and folk tales!

Have you ever heard the one about the knee-high man who wanted to be bigger? If not, check out this folktale featured in FACES Magazine. A good reminder that what works for everyone else won't necessarily work for you.

Part 3 of the posts. Here’s a part of one of my favourite personal It’s a scene in a local Malay folktale called “Singapura Dilanggar Todak” (Singapore attacked by swordfish). Hope one day I’ll get to do a book on tales.

Showing our love to a local classic, Si Tanggang, a film about a Malay folktale of retribution on an ungrateful son.

⭐️This was directed by one of our founder's grandfather!⭐️

Dev Log 19.5 - Water Leaper
This Welsh folktale is said to be a pest to fishermen by snapping up their catch and dragging the unwary underwater. So an anglerfish lure and harpoon tail accoutrements fit rather well.

Finally finished this piece! Something super different than what I normally do. Based off the folktale, “Armadillo’s Song”

Congratulations to on releasing “Branches: Vol. 2” — this is the second cover artwork, influenced by Omura’s imaginative take on Japanese folktales. 🌱 This album’s narrative is driven through Omura’s incredible familiarity & skill with the violin.
