I had a really similar experience! Went from using gimp on an old ass laptop in 2019 which I struggled to work with, to being given procreate on an ipad and it did wonders for my consistency!! im rlly thankful

GIMP（画像編集ソフト）の使い方をググってたら３Dデッサン人形の記事が出てきて、何を思ったのか数年ぶりに絵を描く。
絵心などないし道具もない。トラックボールで輪郭なぞってたら指つった。
……まともに絵を描く人にはすごい便利だろうなこの人形。ポーズも角度も好き放題できるし。

The one from 2008 was all traditional.
The 2011 one, while "sketched" on paper, was lineart and colored with GIMP

And the 2015 and 2017 ones were all done on FireAlpaca. ^^;
