The costume design is just sketches.
The body type, though I like, is a bit soft in form and proportions. I think a direction that is a bit more edgy and angular but holds true to feminine forms might be the way.
The portrait though works.

Here's a version with the Space Quest 3 sprite, and trying to maintain the basic shapes of the OG sprite, and working around that restriction.
