And finally, this... thing. Back then, I thought to myself, "what if I took the R-Type aesthetic and turned it into a just barely functional airplane" and this is what I got. In place of the massive laser beam guns, I gave them an absurdly large 30mm gunpod instead because 50's.

one of my fav hidden gem examples of this is Contact, in which you the player are a character in the game, a higher power that NPCs within have come in contact (hah!) with and interact with. Such an underrated Mother-type game
