I always kind of thought that Floch was a good demonstration of how people change when they gain power, but nothing beyond that. I rewatched perfect game & hero while doing chores, and I realized that his progression falls in line w/ earlier characterization. very neat

This makes me super happy. I love the Klump/Krusha/Rool trio, even though I haven't seen the cartoon in ages and mostly never accepted it as being in the same canon as the games, the closeness of those three and their characterization is something that stuck with me for sure!

But Slade's overall characterization just feels-- so damn off in this issue. Like really off. Maybe it's too much reading into Priest's run, but damn it's making me miss Priest's take more on this. Slade just feels less calculating in Annual and more cartoony.
