I stopped making art for a little while to take care of my hands, BUT i still watched a lot of tutorial and art speedpaint content critically. I feel like I magically absorbed a lot of info about lighting techniques.

Used this portrait to experiment with some photos and brush techniques. Couldn't help but make Rayla look pretty ^^

With this painting I used a negative painting techniques. But what are they? In watercolours I paint from light to dark. In general the more colours or layers you add the darker it becomes. You can lift colour out by using a clear damp brush.

With negative painting....

Brilliant. Him and Satoshi Kon are truly legends, especially Satoshi for his animation and film techniques. But the artist I look up to the most is Murata Yusuke, especially because we work with the same medium

A commission for ! I love his DnD OC so much. This was super fun, this piece taught me so much -- new types of layering and colouring techniques. I have so much to learn about digital art...😳
If you would like a commission, my DMs are open for them rn !! 😎

did a big ol' portrait for a friend's birthday!! the reference photo had some gorgeous lighting, and I got to test out a crap ton of new techniques. I don't draw people too often, but I'm pretty stoked with how this turned out!
