Heyy guys, help me decide on a HUD. My previous HUD made the Qi (aka mana) vial really hard to read for players so wanted to tone down to a simpler HUD that is more readable and easier to expand on as the player gets upgrades

This is roughly the original look for Everim. I might make this their own separate character, since, for Everim, I had decided to go for something more simpler and easier to draw often back when I was new to digital art.

Sometimes, simpler is better. Or at least very okay.

Yeah, exactly. I only played the arcade one a couple of days ago. Trying the C64 one, the pace felt a little slower, but overall the structure and gameplay felt basically like the arcade. So job well done there. 👍 (And targets on the ground were easier to hit, which I liked.) 😁

So I did get the chance to play the C64 version tonight. It's pretty good. A bit slower than the arcade game, and not as pretty (obviously), but it's got a nice soundtrack, and the gameplay is pretty good. 👍 (I actually find the controls easier to understand than the arcade.) 😁

Bizarre design choices for that Guardians game as you get off model MCU Starlord but Gamora is clearly comic influence with her battle armor outfit.

Just do one or the other, comics probably easier to go with so you don't have to pay for MCU likeness.
