@joy_ang is one my all time fave contemporary illustrator. Her linework is delicate and every stroke is imbued with passion. Her understanding of shape design is unmatched. Do yourselves a favor and give this phenomenal lady a follow.
@Bhaal_Spawn @nerdyflow Clip studio is Gimp but with more stuff. Not free tho. Path is a gimp tool. It lets you make a line and then twist it at will. Then you just stroke it in color and done. Curves! I use it to outline only. But the difference can be seen :) bf/af
Trying to find the balance between clean and messy brushstrokes but feeling lost lol🙆♀️😂
Also new Youtube video on the 'Photoshop Basics. If you're interested in watching the tutorial, there's a link in the comments🥰
Heatstroke with @Zero0Ex 's Kurumi.
This started out as a test for the new brushes I yoinked off of CSP assets. Then I ended up spending the whole day trying to make it look good. The brushes feel super natural, it's as close as you can get to an actual pencil.
@jesseross Interestingly, much of the artwork we're adding will have almost a classic, painterly feel to it (we like to say that Jesse is busy painting "unhappy little trees"). We think that combination of soft brushstrokes and clean, modern layout is a very powerful overall look.

My first drawing inspired by @artroomplant 's project -midden. The process for these drawings starts from random digital brush strokes, this time including patterns. From these random shapes I then build crowds of mostly grumpy people. Drawn in @Procreate
A drippy Keukegen.
Trying the Washi paper setting for a Sumi-e look, but I think my brush strokes are not up to par 😅

I'm a long shot from where I want to be as an artist, but my eyes work well enough to see the strides I've made and the skills I've gained -- and they *all* come from studying others. I study brush strokes, line weights, color work, values in pieces I'm wowed by.
