this one was a fun challenge - i had to trial quite a few different perspectives/camera shots to get one that i thought sold the idea well, and i love this final chosen angle A Lot

the background was thankfully easier than expected thanks to photo-bashing techniques

油性マーカーで水彩っぽくできるか試してみたんだけど私の技術では無理だった。
I only tried to see if I could paint like a watercolor with an oil-based marker, but I couldn't do it with my technique.

My favourites rn are and , they both got very unique art styles and are not chasing trends.

Their techniques and attention to detail are super inspiring for me personally as well 💜⚡️

I’m proud of all of these recent sketches!! I’m trying to be more loose and go back to more traditional-styles line work/coloring techniques!

Harmony is a specific way to color cels (having them painted by the art rather than the coloring dpt), though it's generally associated to Osamu Dezaki's "postcard memory" technique

A painter from antiquity, Apollodoros of Athens aka "Skiagraphos" (5th c. BC) was the first to develop skiagraphia or "shading" technique by using hatched areas to give the lifelike illusion of both shadow & volume. Skiagraphia was the precursor of the Renaissance chiaroscuro.

If a painting starts to speak it's not simply
thanks to good technique.
To speak is to be lyrical, where what is said is not really thought
but felt
Here the fabric (cloth bag) and the bowl hold great affection

The eggs are eggs
Clear and simple
