The tuyul and leyak monsters were inspired by creatures from South-East Asian folklore... and are terrifying. NOT the kind of beasts you'd want roaming around your house late at night.

Rose Ann isnt quite the full-fledged aswang yet coz theyre still waiting for the grandma to "pass it on" to her, so she helps around by luring dumb college kids back home
Jade is a soucouyant (Caribbean folklore), luring her victims with dates lol https://t.co/JVWtw2l13x

Hi I’m Kyra and since quarantine started, I’ve been painting abstract pieces! I mostly paint songs though 🥰 these are all songs from the new Taylor swift album “Folklore”! Prints will be available soon on my website https://t.co/a7ceM2VyKh

It has now been two weeks since Taylor Swift announced her new album folklore. I could not help but think eight albums = eight eeveelutions. Here's how each album reflects these Pokémon.

Today’s is about trees! The Hawthorn tree was connected with fairies and the Otherworld in Irish folklore and it was considered very bad luck to cut one down if it stood alone in a field.

Okay but can we appreciate the quality of ART does? This girl captures the lyrics of Taylor's songs and turns them into beautiful comics!!! I loved it!

Trees were said & feared to be magic as their life outlasts ours. Similarly literary/cinematic trees' role is polarized: ethearal or deadly.
From C.S Lewis' wooden portal to Narnia & Tolkien's wise Treebeard to Burton's Tree of the Dead which is Gateway to Hell.
